OK, are you ready? Give me your best five minutes on: Ache…
***********************************************************
I’ll be honest, usually when I think of the word ache, I think of the negative. The emptiness and ache after I experience loss, the way my neck and shoulders feel after a long, stressful day, sore and tired eyes that just want to know sleep.
But, as I thought about the word I had a beautiful picture of Jenny Lake in the Teton mountains. I remember visiting one year, on vacation. I remember how I felt as my eyes looked across the lake. How I felt when I admired the immense mountains. My heart has a special love for Wyoming with all it’s rugged beauty. I scanned the horizon, where the mountains seemingly touched the sky, and my breath caught in my throat. I literally ached from the beauty. I remember thinking, “Heaven is going to be like this, times a billion”. I got to look at all that beauty, and that was just here on Earth…I can only imagine what God has prepared for those who love Him!
However, as it is written
“What no eye has seen,
what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived”
the things God has prepared for those who love him— 1 Corinthians 2:9 NIV
