Today, over at Lisa-Jo Baker’s blog, the five minute Friday prompt is: SMALL
****************************************************************
The small things really do turn out to be the big things. When I look back on my life, I realize that the big things have changed my life, but it is the daily, small things that continue to make my life what it is. The life I have, the life I enjoy, is because of those small things.
Sitting on the porch swing, sharing time with my husband * Warm chocolate chip cookies * An hour long conversation, on the phone, with my sister * Watching a funny TV show with my daughter, laughing out loud together* Receiving a text message from my son, telling me he loves me…and my mother’s heart overflows * Teaching * The smell of my new “Toasted Marshmallow” candle * A cool morning breeze * Crazy kitten stampedes * Golden sunshine * Cool crisp air * A million diamonds of dew on a mid-August morning * Brushing the horse * Hot showers and feeling clean and fresh * Ice cold water in the heat of the summer
I pray that I never take the small things in life for granted.
1. Write for 5 minutes flat – no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking.
2. Link back here and invite others to join in.
3. And then absolutely, no ifs, ands or buts about it, you need to visit the person who linked up before you & encourage them in their comments. Seriously. That is, like, the rule. And the fun. And the heart of this community..
