It is Five Minute Friday!!!

1. Write for 5 minutes flat – no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking.

2. Link back here and invite others to join in.
And then absolutely, no ifs, ands or buts about it, you need to visit the person who linked up before you & encourage them in their comments. Seriously. That is, like, the rule. And the fun. And the heart of this community..

Oh and Ahem, if you would take pity and turn off comment verification, it would make leaving some love on your post that much easier for folks!

OK, are you ready? Please give us your best five minutes on:

On a funny note….when I first saw the word for this week I laughed out loud. This morning, as I was getting ready, I was inspecting my hair. Roots showing. Time for my touch up. Hahahahaha!  I always tell my family and friends, I will never have gray hair as long as there is Garnier hair color.

My second thought was of the picture that I have hanging in my office/library. It is a picture of my great, great grandparents. My grandmother‘s grandparents. I look at their faces. They look stern. It is interesting to me that a century or more ago, people did not often smile for formal pictures. It is not like today, where the photographer is always trying to get smiles from everyone.

Without them, those faces in the frame, I would not be here. Lives wound together through time…family roots run deep.

Psalm 103:17-18
But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children – with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts.
